Optimum Sports & Wellness Institute physiotherapy in Polokwane

Physiotherapy in Polokwane & Soweto. Built Around Getting You Back.

Pain slows everything down. Good physiotherapy speeds recovery back up.

At Optimum Sports & Wellness Institute, physiotherapy isn't a standalone service bolted onto the side of a practice — it's a core part of how we treat people. Our physiotherapist works hand-in-hand with our GPs and Sports Physicians, which means your rehabilitation is informed by the full picture of your health, not just the part that hurts.

Whether you've come off the back of an injury, a procedure, or years of chronic discomfort, you'll get a thorough assessment, a personalised treatment plan, and a practitioner who sees your recovery through from start to finish.

The hands that keep athletes moving

Recovery is where physiotherapy earns its keep. Our physiotherapist, Dan Ntseke, has worked hands-on with athletes at international competition — most recently the 2025 FISU World University Games in Germany — assessing, treating and keeping bodies in the game when the pressure is on. That's the same care looking after your recovery at Optimum Sports & Wellness Institute.

Physiotherapy FAQs

No referral is needed — you can book physiotherapy directly with us. If you've already seen a doctor or have scans, reports or a surgeon's notes, bring them along so your treatment plan is informed by the full picture.
Yes, we accept medical aid. Cover and rates vary between schemes and plans, so we recommend contacting us with your scheme details and we'll help you confirm what's covered before your first session.
Your first session starts with a thorough musculoskeletal assessment to understand what's causing the problem. From there your physiotherapist builds a personalised treatment plan, which may include manual therapy, dry needling, cupping, ultrasound or shockwave therapy, sports massage and a guided exercise programme to support your recovery.
We treat sports injuries, post-surgical recovery, acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain, and overuse injuries — among others. Because our physiotherapist works alongside our GPs and Sports Physicians, your rehabilitation is informed by your full health picture, not just the part that hurts.
