Anyone is welcome. Sports medicine is our core expertise, but we treat patients of all ages and activity levels — from professional athletes to families and everyone in between. We also offer general practitioner and family medicine, physiotherapy, travel medicine, and wellness services like vitamin IV drips, so whether you need a GP or a sports physician, we've got you covered.
Yes. Our doctors manage a wide range of conditions — from once-off consultations for acute illness or injury to ongoing chronic disease management for conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol. If you're not sure whether we can help, give us a call and we'll point you in the right direction.
We're not a gym — we're a multidisciplinary medical practice. The "wellness" in our name refers to a whole-person approach to health: sports medicine, general practice, physiotherapy, travel medicine, and wellness treatments, all under one roof. Think of us as your health team, not a training facility.
We have two branches: 51 Burger Street, Pietersburg Medical Centre, Unit 2, Polokwane (0699) — and 35 Brittlewood Street, Dlamini, Soweto. You can reach our Polokwane branch on (015) 004 1729 and our Soweto branch on (011) 935 7175.
We are open Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00, and on Saturdays from 09:00 to 13:00.
No referral is needed. You can book directly with our Sports Physicians at either branch.
Yes, we accept medical aid. Please contact us to confirm whether your specific scheme is covered.
We do accept walk-ins when a doctor is available, but booking is preferred so we can keep your wait time short and have the right doctor ready for you. You can book online or call us on (015) 004 1729.
Yes, we do. Pap smears and sonar (ultrasound) are available in-house at both our Polokwane and Soweto branches. You don't need to be referred elsewhere — book directly with us and we'll take care of it.
Yes, we offer both. Pre-competition medicals are available for athletes and sports teams needing clearance before events. For pre-employment, we provide general medical pre-employment health screenings including certificates of fitness — suitable for employers and employees across a range of industries. Contact us to discuss your specific requirements.
Yes, vitamin IV drip therapy is available at both branches. Our drips are administered by medical professionals and formulated to support recovery, energy, immune function, and general wellness. All treatments are carried out under medical supervision. Learn more about our IV drip options.
No referral is needed — you can book physiotherapy directly with us. If you've already seen a doctor or have scans, reports or a surgeon's notes, bring them along so your treatment plan is informed by the full picture.
Ideally 4 to 6 weeks before you travel, since some vaccines take time to become fully effective and certain ones are given as a course over several weeks. If your trip is sooner, still book — we can often help last-minute travellers and advise on what's possible in the time you have.
You can book whichever way is easiest for you — call us on 015 004 1729, message us on WhatsApp at 068 492 7641, email info@oswi.co.za, or book online at www.oswi.co.za. Bring your ID, your medical aid details if you have cover, and any relevant medical records, scans or a list of current medications.
